Yes, appliances up to 7 years old at the start of the policy are eligible for insurance.
What’s included in washer dryer insurance?
Your washer dryer insurance covers mechanical and electrical breakdowns, accidental damage, engineer callouts, and replacement vouchers if repairs aren’t possible.
What happens if parts for my washer dryer are unavailable?
If the parts can’t be sourced within 28 days, you’ll be offered a voucher contribution for a replacement appliance.
Are there other appliances included in my cover?
Even though one policy covers one appliance. You can purchase an additional policy for other kitchen appliances, which includes fridge freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer.

Are there any restrictions on the age or condition of the washing machines that can be covered?
The washer dryer must be no more than 7 years old at the time you take out the policy. The washer dryer must be no more than 12 years old at the time of renewal unless your appliance has been continuously covered since January 2023.
Furthermore, your agreement does not cover any damage caused by deliberate actions, misuse, modifications, neglect, or a lack of maintenance.

What happens if my washer dryer is beyond repair?
If your washer dryer is beyond economical repair, 24|7 Home Rescue will provide you with a voucher contribution towards a replacement. Appliances under 5 years old can receive up to £1000, while older appliance as receive a depreciated value.
