Home Security Explained

When should I call for help with a lock or door issue?

If your external door or window lock has been damaged, broken, or is no longer properly securing your home, for example, after a break-in attempt or storm damage, call us immediately. We’ll arrange for an approved engineer to make your home safe and secure again.

Does this cover include lost keys or accidental lockouts?

No, this cover does not include lost keys or accidental lockouts. Our policy focuses on repairs or replacements due to damage or failure of external doors, windows, or locks.

What types of locks are covered?

We cover repairs or assistance for external door and window locks, contributing to your home’s security. This typically includes standard door locks, multi-point locks on uPVC doors, and window locks. Specialist locks (e.g., safes) and internal door locks are not usually included; see your policy terms for the complete list.

Will you replace broken glass in windows or doors?

Our priority is to make your home safe and secure. If a broken window or door leaves your home vulnerable, we’ll arrange temporary boarding or repair to secure it. Complete glass replacement may be placed separately, depending on your cover level, we’ll advise you on the best next steps.

Who will carry out the work?

We only use vetted, qualified, insured engineers for lock, door, and window repairs. They’ll attend to emergencies quickly and work according to UK home security standards. Your safety and peace of mind are our priority.

How does the refer a friend promotional offer work?

Our Refer a Friend offer is simple and rewarding! For every friend you refer to us who signs up for any of our Boiler Insurance Policies, you’ll receive a £20 cashback.
